Total War: Rome II - Emperor Edition App Reviews

I bought this game and…. It crushes at start of the system ! I have macbook Air from 2014…. I want my money back!

One thing you may find obnoxious about this game is how crude the various controls and tools look. The graphics themselves are pretty good once you’re on the map, or in battle, but the actual symbols and buttons you find yourself working with are crude pictograms. Loading times are a little on the long side for most battles and games. You won’t want to play more than the most major battles, as they simply take too long to load, and too long to play. All around, it’s a good game with a few rough edges.

There is no ability to use this with multiplayer. Basically just wasted $60.

I was one of the Total War series biggest fans, but after playing this game for a week (trying to give it a chance) I’m going to uninstall. The game play is horrible!!!!!! Sega had a good thing going untill this one. There are just to many things that make this game really horrible to list. Save your money and time do not buy! If you want to fight in ancient Rome get the first edition it was one of the best games ever made, it may not look as pretty now but at least it is really fun to play. I dont now how Sega could ruin a good series but it happend. I want my money back!!!!!!! I give it negitave 5 stars.

Rome total war is the greatest game of its kind. rome total war two is just terrible. Its glitchy the graphics are some how worse looking. Also the gameplay is just not that great they changed many things that were good and made them worse.

Don’t bother getting this game is 100% rip off barley any factions playable because you have to buy the others, but wait it gets even better you can’t even buy the rip off dlc that lets you use the other factions because you bought it on the app store instead of steam! Also made it impossible to mode. The app store version is just a huge scam to rip mac users off, while taking away everything that made TW games fun ie. modding, multiplayer, and not having access to new content.

I bought this game as a fan of the Total War series, and I am severely dissapointed that I still can’t even play the game. Every time I load the game and start the tutorial all the graphics glitch out. All I can see is a bunch of random colors that flash on my screen with sound in the backround. No matter what resolution or setting I put it on, it still doesn’t work. As of right now this game is a waste of money, so wait until the game is updated a couple of times before you buy.

Game crashes at startup. Randomly. Need to figre out whats up because my Macbook should run this easily.

There are too many bugs as of yet. Save your money until a few more versions come out. Wish I had.

My Mac Book Pro Retina 2013 (2.7 Intel Core i7 16GB Ram with under 10GB free space after I installed the game) runs the game perfect. I haven’t experienced any game play issues, bugs, etc. If you’re a fan of the Total War series and have a machine with enough power, you’ll love this game! Same style of game play with some new features. I fully recommend it!

The land is covered in black shadow and sometimes the game will start glitching while you scroll around the map and some parts!

Overall runs smooth…. minus the fact that my right click doesn’t work in game….. so can’t really move my guys. I expected more.

i willing to buy a greek faction to play as sparta

Im with the majority of the people who have left reviews so far. The game itself seems good however, I reached a certain point in my first campaign as rome were i cannot end the turn without the game crashing. It rotates around the factions and gets to the faction Carnutes and then crashes. Please work on the game a bit so my $60 doesnt go to waste.

The problem is that when I first start the game it goes into weird colors when the movie plays before the game goes to the menu. But when the movie ends it frozes the game and all it shows is weird colors. it does it all the time when I start the game and I updated it the 2.0.1 still doesn’t do a thing to fix it even I read what the new update that says nothing about my problems. I am so mad that I paid $59.99 for this pices of crap game that doesn’t even work. Thanks for reading...

For now ,this game is unable to play, I hope it will rewrite the progrom as soon as possible.

this game crashes more than i can actually play it. I have a desktop mac and Ive played games like this on PC with no problems whatsoever. What a waste of $60 Apple needs more games like this that actually work… havent found one that does yet

This will not run well with minimum specs, unless you have a new machine with full specs it is not worth buying, it runs terribly, waste of money.

The game runs perfectly, but please add the greek cities expansion. Playing as Sparta would be awesome
