Total War: Rome II - Emperor Edition App Reviews

Unfortunately, the App Store version of the game does not allow you access all the downloadable content. I originally purchased this game here on the App Store without doing my due diligence and was disappointed to find that I could not access all the content. Fortunately, a few weeks ago Steam had the game and all its content available at 75% off. I deleted the App Store Version and bought the Steam version instead — it was a good decision. If you like strategy games you should definitely check this one out. But you should get the version available on Steam, which will at least give you the option to purchase additional DLC if you really enjoy the game. In terms of the performance, the game does occassionally crash on my 3 year-old Mac Book Pro, but it generally runs well.

I have seen many ppl play this game on youtube and many ppl are sparta so is that add on available for this

I hate having to write a bad review for this game because it’s one of those “woulda, coulda, shoulda” things where it could have been a masterpiece. Regardless, it is beautiful in many ways (graphics are intense) but almost too intense. Too much going on visually and the gameplay during battle sequences never makes any sense. I’ll stay a Total War fan forever, but please fix all issues with your games. One more thing! NO MODS ARE AVAILABLE for the Mac. So if you like blood and gore (I know I do) you’ll never be able to download for this game.

I am finding this version is nowhere near as good at the orignal Rome Total War. The ecomics and building are much murkier and harder to get a grip on, the battle AI does not seem much improved, and as a whole far less enjoyable. Am about ready to abandon it after only a few hours of playing time when I found the original game instantly addictive, very intuitive and played it for many many hours.

System meets all the requirements but the game wont work. Need an update patch soon!!!!!!!

My system exceeds the minimum requirements. I have high speed internet. Don’t understand why this game won’t download and install. Would like my money back, because I can’t play the game. *****EDIT***** Got the game to download and install after I upgraded to the latest Mac OS, and have really enjoyed it.

Wow! This game was a blast to play. Very extensive and lots of fun. The toughest part was learning how to run the economy. My advise is to lower all taxes to the lowest point and just budget from there. I would also invest the majority of your research into expanding your economy at first. I’ve been playing Total War since the very beginning and I have loved everyone. Keep up the great work!

Bugs still. Cant play other countries still.

Absolutely refuses to download, regardless of fully updated operating system. Want my money back!

I downloaded the game a few months ago and it has worked until recently. Now when I click the app, the icon will briefly pop up before disappearing and nothing happens after that.

This game is great i just wish the greek city states were playable

My Mac exeeds the minimum requirements to play this game, somehow the game dosen’t run and keeps crashing. I have contacted the AppStore Suppor and the Sega Support department and I havn’t recived any help.

Would love this game if it would even open.
